This is how you clean windows without streaks!

Window cleaning without streaks: it may sound like a dream, but it's really not that difficult at all. All you need are the right tools and my handy roadmap. Then you will soon be enjoying those rays of sunshine in your home again.

Tip from Wendy:

Wash the windows on a cloudy day. This is because on a sunny day, they dry faster, making you more likely to get streaks.

Let's get started

Step 1: First remove all stubborn dirt from the windows

You can easily remove dried rain and bird droppings with a scratch-free sponge, such as the Window Care, or a good polishing cloth, such as the Window Cloth. This cloth has a waffle texture that scrubs dirt from windows and frames without scratching.

Step 2: Make a lather with washing-up liquid and vinegar

For this, use warm water (definitely not hot!) and pour into it a drop of washing-up liquid and a splash of cleaning vinegar. This solution will make your windows shine again!

Step 3: Wash the windows with a soft, large sponge

Dip the sponge completely into the soapy water, squeeze it well and use it to wash the windows. Always work from top to bottom.

Step 4: Wipe the windows with a window squeegee

Grab the window squeegee and wipe all the water off the window in strips from left to right and top to bottom. This way, you also cover the corners.

Step 5: Dry the squeegee and window frames

In between, dry the squeegee regularly with a highly-absorbent chamois, such as the Window Dry. This will prevent it from leaving streaks. After using the chamois, you can also dry the window frames with the Window Dry. Ta-da, streak-free clean windows!
