Cleaning sneakers: the ultimate tips

Sneakers are really my only guilty pleasure. I sometimes want to buy a new pair and then of course they have to go outside to show everyone. And you can count on them being dirty in no time. But with my step-by-step plan they will be fresh again in no time!

Clean sneakers in a few minutes

First remove the coarse dirt with a shoe brush with soft bristles or an old toothbrush. If you have muddy sneakers, let them dry first. Then wipe it off with a good brush.

Now comes the trick: take the Wonder Sponge and moisten a corner a little. Use this angle to literally erase all discolorations and stains! It always amazes me how easy it is.

Tip: First test in an inconspicuous place to see if your sneakers can withstand the power of the Wonder Sponge. If the color of your sneakers does not transfer to the sponge, you can continue cleaning.

Bonus tip: The sponge may crumble a bit during brushing, just like the old-fashioned erasers you used to use in school. Don't worry, this is completely normal!

You can clean laces and insoles with warm water and a little mild washing powder or detergent. Wash laces by soaking them in soapy water, kneading them well and then rinsing with clean water. Remove the insoles from your shoes and clean them with a microfiber cloth and mild soapy water. Then let everything dry thoroughly before putting them back in your shoes!
